How to market your Lovable app and get your first customers

By , 14 October 2026

Publish a usable experience, pick one audience and invite a small group to complete a real task. A working Lovable app is the beginning of customer acquisition, not evidence that customers know why they need it.

Treat the builder as your implementation environment. Lead the marketing with the buyer's problem and outcome. Unless the builder itself is relevant to the audience, it does not need to be the product's main selling point.

Check what a visitor actually sees

Lovable's publishing documentation describes deploying to a live URL and controlling access. It also distinguishes draft changes from the published snapshot. The documentation says: “Accepting a draft is not publishing.” Verify the actual live URL after making launch changes. Lovable publishing guide.

Open that URL outside your editing session. Check the page, sign-up process and core task. A preview that works for the project owner is not sufficient evidence of the new-user experience.

Make the use case specific

Complete three lines: this is for a particular person; it helps with a particular task; the first useful result is visible here. Replace broad language such as an AI-powered platform with the action someone can evaluate.

For a hypothetical booking app, the useful claim might be organizing enquiries into available slots. It should not imply calendar integrations or payment features that are not implemented.

Recruit a focused first group

Look for people currently doing that task. Ask about their existing process, then offer to help them try the app. Paul Graham's early-stage advice supports direct recruitment; it is not a promise that a particular outreach count will produce a customer.

Record what confuses people and what they actually complete. Keep feedback about the product separate from comments about visual polish.

Prepare one useful demonstration

Clear next stepLet the visitor try or contact you

If the useful screens require a login, record them with fictional demo data. A public-site video service cannot inspect a private workflow. Teasr lets you make that branded promotional overview from the public page without assembling a video yourself; see the Lovable video guide for that narrower task.

Decide what the first experiment teaches you

Track whether invited people arrive, start and reach the intended result. Ask what prevented the next step. Improve that experience before expanding to several channels.

Lovable is independent of Teasr; this is not a partner or endorsed workflow. For the broader process, use validating demand and finding first paying customers.
