How to make a feature announcement video
Most teams make one big launch video and then announce every feature after it with a screenshot. A short video per feature gets far more attention, and it's easier than it sounds once you have a format.
The format
- The problem, in one line. "Exporting reports used to take ten clicks."
- The feature, shown. One real screen, in motion.
- The result. "Now it's one."
- Where to find it. Your product name and address.
Keep it short
15 to 30 seconds is enough. LinkedIn recommends 15 to 30 seconds for video ads (LinkedIn Help), and Wistia's data shows videos under a minute hold attention best (Wistia).
Make it repeatable
The point is to do this for every release, so the cost per video matters more than for a one-off launch film. With Teasr, point it at the feature's page or the changelog entry, add a note like "announce the new one-click export", and you get a video in your brand in about 10 minutes. Ask for a new length from the same design for other channels. From €39.
